 Today I made a collage. I made a collage about the things I like to do. Here is my collage:

I like to play games so I added a gaming logo and i also like playing Roblox.

I added milk because I like drinking it and I also added chicken nuggets because I like eating them.

Making Connections

 Today I did this task where we were making connections.

feelings

 I am feeling great because I play with my sister.

Whats going well for me is that my sister is playing with me (they don't play with me that much).

Whats not going well for me is basically nothing.

This week i'm looking forward to play with my other friends.

What is Media?

Media is a way to give out information, Entertainment and Persuasion.

Things that count as media are going on a Chromebook, television, phone and more. Basically media counts as any electronics giving out information using YouTube and browser tab. On YouTube people make videos giving out information and on your browser tab you can search for information.

Entertainment is like watching fun videos of your choice (could be any) on YouTube, and on Netflix you can watch movies and also playing games.

Persuasion is like ads (advertisements) there are ads on lots of stuff like YouTube and billboards even on browser tab games! People make ads to make you buy their stuff.

Ratios

 Today my class did a ratio test. We had to do 10 which was all correct. Here was my ten ratio completions.

Warm up task

 Today my class did warm up tasks. We had to do a memory challenge thing. Here is a link to it:Warm up task I kept trying after the meet. this was my final score.

Waenga

 Today I did a Te Reo speak pipe practice. I practised this word: Waenga 

Origami

 Today I did some origami. We got to choose from these folds.

From the first look of my eye I had got to choose Pikachu especially if i'm a pokemon fan. When I clicked on the link I saw this:

I went to go grab a A4 paper and when I saw the next step I had to wait a little longer.

I realised that I needed a square! So I got to work and made a square then I started doing the steps.

Since I made a square this step was already done.

When I saw this step and tried doing it was kinda hard as whenever I fold the corners theirs always a tiny space there that later on mucks most things up. 

This step was kinda confusing because when I folded it to the bottom two tiny pieces poped out that meant I had done something wrong but I still continued.

When I got to this step it was kinda eazy because the folded piece is stopping me from going over.

We had to fold the other side which was ok.

This step we fold the left and right corners to the center.

When I saw this step it started to look more like Pikachu.

It still looked a little weird (you'll see later on why.)

We folded its chin.

And cheeks.

Now we were meant to turn it over! Thats why it looked funny.

This was my attempt.

I know it doesn't have the colours and stuff but still... It looks like Pikachu (kinda).

What is a Quality Blog Comment

 A few days ago my class did What is a Quality Blog comment. For the first slide we had to place the tiles to what we think  of the parts.

I thought it was kinda easy since "Kia Ora John. Was obviously greeting and What an awesome zombie story. Your choice of descriptive words really helped me to imagine them wandering around the school. sounded like it was an positive and since the last part clearly was helpful that meant thoughtful was blue. but still maybe I should think more about it just in case I get it wrong.

My awesome character

 Today I made a character. Here is a picture of it:

I designed him like this because first I picked skin colour which I just did it because it would fit good in this outfit. Then scarf because it just looked cool then jacket which is kinda grey but i did the pants because it wouldn't look weird with the top. Then the shoes I did it because it was like the most basic. Also the hair style was kinda basic too so I picked it. And picked the basic eyes too.

Lockdown

 Yesterday 2 teachers came to my class and said to take our chromebook bags, and all the other things we needed. I was wondering why but people thought it was lockdown. Then after school my sisters told me there might be lockdown and at 6 they will announce if there was. in dinner time me and my family watched the news at 6 but it was delayed and changed to 6:10. After a bit of watching they said it was lockdown for 7 days and level 4. My whole family was surprised because it was 7 days.  And we were right.

Number knowledge test

 Today I did a number knowledge test. I got 40/40 but some of my classmates got under 40. here is a picture  of the test.

We did only the answers and we wrote the answers downwards. Some people got 36-40 which is the number of correct questions that your meant to get to pass but most people got under 36.

Scratch

 Today my class did a Scratch project about how to make a character fly.

The building's moved repeatability and when it reached the other side it would spawn a new building to the right. The ball next to the parrot if you touched it you will get score. It spawns randomly and when it gets to the other side it will spawn back randomly with a different ball colour. The parrot would fall down all the time so you have to press space bar repeatability to get the balls. The cloud automatically gets to the other side and when it does it gets back to the right with a different cloud.  

Painting

Today I learnt that if you use cheap painting tape and paint on it and pull it off it will pull the paper off. But if you use good paper/shiny paper and pull it off it will work a bit better. But if you use expensive tape and paint on it and pull it off it wont really pull the paper with it. If you use expensive tape and shiny paper then paint it and take the tape off it wont pull the paper with it then we just threw it in the bin.

Scratch project about Matariki

In scratch we did a Matariki scratch project. Also here is the website:Scratch 

In my scratch project if you hover over a star with your cursor it will tell you the name of the star. In the picture you can see that there are nine stars. I put them as close as I could where it was suppose to. Here is a picture of my code:

Simplifying Fractions

 

Today we were learning how to simplify fractions. The first thing I did was look for a number that fit evenly in both numerator and denominator the first fraction was 12/15.

The first fraction I divided both of it by 3 12 divided by 3 = 4 15 divided by 3 = 5.

Fale House Points for Week 9

 

Today our class made a graph using the Fale house points for week 9. The graph that I made is on the top and the points are bellow it. I got the information for that on Fale house points

From the graph I can see;

• Rata is 118 tokens ahead of Totara
• Totara is second with 3482 tokens.
• Kowhai is 10 tokens behind Totara.
• Kauri is forth with 3311 tokens.

I think its possible that Kauri can overtake Kowhai and become third but I think its unlikely because they need 162 tokens to become third but Kowhai is gaining too.

Spreadsheets - Analysis of Completed Tasks for Thursday the 1 July

Yesterday we had a reliever and Ms Corbett gave us tasks on Gmail here is a graph of the tasks completed.

From the graph I can see that there are 27 students altogether by: adding 0 for the students that did 0 tasks and 0 students did 1 tasks (0) and 6 students did 2 tasks (6) and 3 students did 3 tasks (9) and 5 students did 4 tasks (13) and 5 students did 5 tasks (19) and 8 students did 6 tasks (27) so 27 tasks altogether.

Spreadsheets - Analysis of Completed Tasks for Monday the 28 June

Yesterday Ms Corbett was sick and the Reliever didn't come so our Class was split by the assistant principle to different classes like 12,13,11 and 22. Ms Corbett emailed the tasks for the day. Here is a graph of the tasks our class finished.

From the graph I can see that the there are 22 students in class. I got this number by:

• adding 1 for the first one 
• and then adding 6 for the 2nd one (7) 
• +7 for the third one (14)
•  then add another 6 (20)
•  and then finally add 2 (22)

From this graph i can see one student finished no tasks

6 students finished one task

7 students finished 2 tasks

 6 students finished 3 tasks 

only 2 students completed all tasks 

Ms Corbett feels happy about this. I think next time I can do more better by trying to work faster.

Fractions Immersion Week

Today we started fractions immersion we tried to make one whole using fraction blocks we made different combinations

I used; 1/5 + 1/4 + 1/5 + 1/6 + 1/12 + 1/10 to make my first whole. (2/5 +1/4 + 1/6 + 1/12 + 1/10)

for my second one I used; 1/5 + 1/4 + 1/10 + 1/3 + 1/8 to make my second whole. (looked like it went over the edge)

for my third one I used; 1/5 + 1/8 + 1/2 + 1/10 + 1/12 to make my third whole. (looked like it went over the  edge)

for my last one I used; 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 (4/4)

Fractions Immersion Day 2

Today we made combinations  of fractions that were bigger than a half but smaller than a whole i made

for my first combination I used; 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/12.

for my second one I used; 1/3 + 1/4 + 2/12 + 1/6.

for my third one I used; 3/10 + 2/8 + 2/12 + 1/5.
